Eight owner codes are registered to Maersk A/S today. Four are house codes (MAEU, MRKU, MSKU, MRSU); four tell acquisition history: SEAU came with Sealand, PONU with P&O Nedlloyd (2005), SUDU with Hamburg Süd (2017), and MNBU marks the refrigerated fleet. A red Hamburg Süd box with SUDU on the door is a Maersk container in every system that matters.
That heritage regularly confuses prefix lists elsewhere — several sites still file SUDU under a company that ceased to exist as a brand in 2023. The BIC register, and therefore our checker, resolves all eight to Maersk.
Maersk B/L and booking numbers

Completed shipments are archived roughly 60–90 days after delivery. The number was valid; the trip is simply over. For historical data, request the shipment file from Maersk or your forwarder.
