# ONE Container Tracking

ONE (Ocean Network Express) belongs to the short list of carriers whose tracker opens straight from a link: ecomm.one-line.com accepts the number as a URL parameter (trakNoParam), so the checker here can hand you a button that lands on your result already searched. Container, [bill of lading](https://contsize.com/glossary/bill-of-lading/) and [booking numbers](https://contsize.com/glossary/booking-number/) all work, with B/Ls starting ONEY. The magenta fleet answers to six prefixes — ONEU and MOAU as house codes, plus NYKU, KKFU, KKTU and KLFU inherited from the Japanese parents whose container arms merged to create ONE in 2017.

## Track a ONE (Ocean Network Express) container by number

Born from the container businesses of NYK, MOL and K Line — established July 2017, first sailings 1 April 2018 — ONE is the youngest of the majors, and its tracking stack shows it: linkable results, a clean portal, none of the legacy friction older carriers drag around. The magenta paint makes the boxes unmissable in any yard.

One historical wrinkle matters for validation: plenty of perfectly current ONE containers still wear their parents’ prefixes, so a “NYK” box in 2026 is almost certainly ONE cargo.

ONE containers carry the prefixes ONEU, MOAU, NYKU, KKFU, KKTU and KLFU; each is worked through, with its check digit and where the code came from, on the prefix page of [ONE](https://contsize.com/one-container-prefixes/).

## ONE prefixes: ONEU, MOAU and the three-parent legacy

Six codes tell the merger story compactly. **ONEU** and **MOAU** are the post-merger house prefixes; **NYKU** remains registered to NYK, while **KKFU**, **KKTU** and **KLFU** sit under K Line — yet all of those fleets were folded into ONE’s operations, so every one of these numbers tracks on the ONE portal. The parents survive as shipping conglomerates; their container boxes now sail magenta.

| [`NYKU`](https://contsize.com/one-container-prefixes/#nyku) | NYKU is registered to NYK Line, one of the three Japanese parents whose fleets merged into ONE in 2017 — the boxes track with ONE. |
| [`KKFU`](https://contsize.com/one-container-prefixes/#kkfu) | KKFU is K Line heritage riding in the ONE fleet since the 2017 merger. |
| [`KKTU`](https://contsize.com/one-container-prefixes/#kktu) | KKTU is a second K Line-registered code that operates under ONE today. |
| [`KLFU`](https://contsize.com/one-container-prefixes/#klfu) | KLFU rounds out the K Line trio now answering to ONE’s tracker. |

## ONE B/L numbers: the ONEY format

Every bill of lading here opens with **ONEY** — a fourth letter that trips up tools expecting the U-suffix of equipment codes, and the giveaway that you are holding a document number rather than a box number. The same ecomm search field takes ONEY documents, bookings and container numbers, and the pre-filled link works for any of the three.

## Using ecomm.one-line.com — deep links that work

Append **?trakNoParam=YOURNUMBER** to the cargo-tracking URL and the result loads without touching the search form — verified in a real browser, and exactly what our checker’s button does after validating the digit. That makes ONE results bookmarkable and shareable, a convenience only [Maersk](https://contsize.com/maersk-container-tracking/) and [PIL](https://contsize.com/pil-container-tracking/) match among the lines we tested. The ONE app adds push updates on the same feed.

## Can you see where the ship is?

Not from the container. A standard dry box has no power, no radio and no satellite receiver — it is a steel case with a number painted on it, and it reports nothing about itself. Every position you see against a ONE (Ocean Network Express) shipment was reported by something else: a terminal crane, a gate reader, or the ship.

A live map on a carrier’s tracking page is almost always plotting [AIS](https://contsize.com/glossary/ais/), the transponder every large vessel broadcasts with its position, course and speed. That is genuinely useful at sea: it is a real position rather than a schedule, and an ETA recalculated from actual movement. It is also the ship’s position, not your box’s, and the two part company the moment the container is discharged.

On land the map goes quiet. Between the [gate-out](https://contsize.com/glossary/gate-out/) and the delivery there is no vessel to follow, and the road leg appears only as whatever events the terminal and the trucker report. A container sitting on a chassis in a yard shows the last position of a ship it left days ago. Only specialised IoT equipment reports its own location, and wherever that exists it is a paid product sold to the shipper, not something a tracking page gives away.

## ONE (Ocean Network Express) transit times, as published

How long a container spends at sea on ONE (Ocean Network Express) services, port to port. Each figure below is stated by two documents for the same service and the same pair of ports — the line’s own schedule and one more — and both are linked beside it. Where we could not find two, the pair is not listed.

These are schedule figures between two ports, not delivery times: add the days before the vessel sails and after it discharges, and expect the real voyage to drift by a few days either way. A line can change a rotation at any time, so check the date on each source.

The Asia–Europe figures are for the route around the Cape of Good Hope. On 18 October 2026 the lines’ own pages still sent these services that way; only ONE named services back through the Suez Canal (FE1, IOX). A return to Suez shortens the voyage by roughly ten days, so a figure here is out of date for any service that moves.

## Premier Alliance: ONE, HMM and Yang Ming

ONE operates in the Premier Alliance alongside [HMM](https://contsize.com/hmm-container-tracking/) and [Yang Ming](https://contsize.com/yang-ming-container-tracking/), sharing vessels on the main east–west trades. As with every alliance, the ship named against your container may belong to a partner, and the name on your bill of lading is what decides where the events live. A ONE B/L tracks at ONE whichever of the three owns the hull.

ONE is also one of only three carrier trackers we opened with a live container number in the URL and found to load the result directly — the others ignored the parameter or were not tested. That is why this page can give you a finished link instead of a number to copy and paste.

## When the ONE tracker returns nothing

**You may have searched for the wrong company.** This is the failure particular to ONE. Four of its six prefixes — NYKU, KKFU, KKTU and KLFU among them — are inherited from NYK and K Line, so people read the door, search for the parent company, and land on a corporate site with no container tracker on it. All six track at the same ONE page.

**Check the number first.** The checker here recomputes the check digit and will tell you whether a character was misread before you go anywhere.

**Too new, or too old.** ONE publishes its first event at [gate-in](https://contsize.com/glossary/gate-in/) or loading rather than at booking, and archives shipments some weeks after delivery. Both ends of that window return an empty result for a number that is perfectly valid.

## Frequently asked questions

**Are NYKU containers still trackable?**

Yes — NYKU boxes came from NYK’s container fleet, which merged into ONE. Enter the number at ecomm.one-line.com (or via our pre-filled link) and events appear under ONE’s system.

**What do KKFU, KKTU and KLFU stand for?**

They are K Line’s registered container codes, inherited when its container arm joined the ONE merger. All three prefixes remain in circulation and track on the ONE portal.

**Can I bookmark my ONE tracking result?**

Yes — the trakNoParam URL parameter keeps the number in the address, so a saved link reopens the live result. Among majors, only Maersk and PIL offer equivalent deep links.

**Why does my ONE bill of lading start with ONEY, not ONEU?**

ONEY is the documentation code and ONEU the equipment code — parallel registries that share three letters by design. The tracker accepts both in its single search field.

**Why are ONE containers magenta?**

The colour was chosen at the 2017 launch as a deliberate break from the parents’ liveries — a brand signal, with no operational meaning. Older grey or blue legacy boxes track identically.

**Which alliance does ONE sail in now?**

The Premier Alliance, together with HMM and Yang Ming, effective 9 February 2025. Your box may load onto a partner vessel on alliance loops while events keep flowing through ONE’s tracker.
